Ensure Safe Global Shipping and Minimize Loading Container Risk

As an experienced manufacturer and exporter of puzzle and paper-based products, we cannot control vessel schedules, weather, or ocean emergencies, but we are able to control every link within our responsibility strictly.

Common Loading Container and Shipping Risks

  • Moisture Risk

Water transport involves prolonged exposure to seawater, making containers highly susceptible to moisture damage.

  • Carton Damage

Loading and unloading operations during container loading, as well as bumps and jostling during transit, can damage the outer packaging and even destroy the internal products.

  • Wrong Shipment

Incorrect cargo verification during loading can lead to discrepancies between the customer’s order and the actual goods shipped.

  • Quantity Shortage

Incorrect quantity verification during container loading or product damage during transit can result in the actual quantity of goods being less than requested by the customer.

Our Standard Container Loading Steps

  1. Confirm Key Time After Receiving SO

When we receive the Shipping Order from the forwarder, we need to double-check closing time and customs cut-off time. We must avoid missing the deadline for customs declaration documents.

  1. 10-minute empty container inspection

Before loading, we spend approximately ten minutes thoroughly inspecting every empty container.

At first, we need to inspect Front Wall/Left Side/Right Side/Ceiling to ensure that there are no holes, cracks or damage.

Then, we need to inspect the floor to ensure that it’s dry and clean. And we also need to ensure there are no holes, damage, cracks.

Third, we need to ensure that Inside/Outside Doors are in good condition.

Given our wide range of paper-based products, including jigsaw puzzles, card games, magnetic games, sticker books and DIY kits, we mandate the trucking team to pick up only dry and clean empty containers.

After the container arrives at our factory, we need to check container numbers & seal numbers, and take photos.

Sometimes, multiple containers are being loaded at the same time, so it’s really vital to check the container numbers and seal numbers carefully to prevent any misloading.

  1. On-Site Loading Standards

At present, we adhere to three key loading principles for every shipment:

(1) Heavy items at the bottom, light items on top

Heavier paper items such as sticker books and paper puzzles are placed at the bottom of the container to avoid crushing lighter goods.

Also, it’s important to arrange the goods properly to make sure the whole container’s weight is balanced.

(2) Unified placement direction

In general, all products are placed in the correct forward orientation. Cartons marked “this way up” need to be kept upright and not be inverted.

(3) Flexible arrangement by carton size

According to actual carton sizes, container loaders adjust stacking methods to maximize space utilization and prevent cargo shaking. And we think highly of minimizing wasted space.

  1. Full-process Supervision and Quantity Counting

We have dedicated 2 staff members to supervise the entire loading process, take photos for records, and count and log the quantity of all goods to ensure the quantities are correct.

  1. Complete Document Submission After Loading

Once container loading and sealing are finished, we submit including Commercial Invoice and Packing List immediately so that we can ensure smooth customs clearance.

Although sea freight comes with inherent risks and uncontrollable variables such as sailing schedules, we do everything in our power to control every detail and minimize issues including cargo mildew and quantity shortage. Following the above steps, nearly all potential risks and errors can be reduced to a minimum. Thus, our customers are satisfied with our product quality.
